WE'RE MOVING!!!

Hear yé, hear yé!!
We've decided to close down this production blog and the Indiana Jones one aswell.

Our main website (www.homework-entertainment.com) will get an overhaulin' and a fresh new look and our updates will go up on Facebook. Much easier, much more user friendly and anyone can subscribe as a 'fan' and immediatly comment on any updates, vids or pics we might post.

So we definately see this change as a good thing.

We'd like you all to join us on Facebook and let us know your thoughts, ideas, feedback... anything you wanna let us know, let us know at Homework Facebook

See you there!

Def Jam: Blaze of Glory [2008]

Made around spring last year (I think). Has been up on Youtube, but only for a short while. Nothing fancy, just for fun. Thought we'd share this and hope some of you enjoy it as much as we did shooting it...

Homework Upgrade - New Editing Set Up

We've always had some issues compositing and editing stuff on our current set up, eversince we've upgraded to an HD camera... but usually we managed to pull it off, by downconverting the footage a bit.

Now, that option doesn't even work any longer... and we have a massive system failure on our hands.

Capturing the footage works just fine, but when it comes to color grading and compositing, the system completely freezes... D*mn it! I hate having bought this 'off the shelf' desktop a few years back!

So that's why there's a new - custom build - editing system on the way... Halle - freakin' - lujah!

Quadcore, 2 TB's storage space, 700 Watts cooling system,... time to play :) So we're finally able to start working on the Jedi/prosthetics sequence we've shot, plus get the Reign of Fire video finished... Oh, and a little sequence for our Freddy vs Jason II clip ;)

'til next time...

Alien Prosthetics Test - Star Wars

As we've always wanted to do something that involved the use of make-up and prosthetics, We really had to do some test clips on the subject to see if we could pull it off, at all... So that's what we've been doing today :)

This morning we loaded the car with all of our equipment and some Star Wars related costumes (yes, we have some of those too...) and drove off to an abandoned sand quarry we came across last year, while scouting for locations.

That location is amazing and a perfect setting for several of our future projects.

It took us about 2 hours to set everything up, to put on the costumes and try out the prosthetics and some make-up. The sun was out, making it a bright and pretty warm day, which resulted in some painfull sunburn (ouch!) but more importantly, some great looking shots.

We sure ain't no professional make-up artists, but our 'alien' holds up pretty well on camera. It was definately worth the trip and we're all very satisfied with the final results.

The final clip will be online some time soon... and more of them will follow - of course ;)
